HYGIENE experts have revealed how often you should really be changing your bedding – so do you do it weekly or monthly?

“Do you know what? While you are single and enjoying that life, wallow in your own filth for a little while.

“You’ve got no one to impress. You know when you’re single and you don’t have to shave your legs?

”So you just go full Gruffalo. I feel it’s the same,” she told Fleur East’s co-star James Barr on radio.

But although the 33-year-old, who is now expecting her fifth child with former EastEnders actor Joe Swash, 41, may think this is acceptable, experts have urged to wash bedding more frequently.

Chatting to Daily Mail, Abbas Kanani, pharmacist at Chemist Click online pharmacy, explained: ”Proper hygiene is important when it comes to sleeping because dirty sheets can contribute to allergies, skin breakouts, asthma, and disrupt sleep quality.”

Danielle Mason, Head of Product Development at The Fine Bedding Company, agreed adding that bedding should be changed once a week.

For those with pets or any allergies from dust mites, the whizz recommended waiting no longer than three to four days.

Dr Veronika Matutyte, Health Sciences, peachesandscreams.co.uk shared the same opinion, saying: ”Bed room hygiene is very important. It helps prevent the spread of bacteria, germs, infections and diseases. 

”From an expert’s point of view, bedding should be changed after one or two weeks.”

But before you rush to remove the sheets and chuck them in for a wash, learn about a tiny gadget that prevents the bedding from getting all tangled.

Like all cleaning fanatics, this is a problem one mum-of-four, Ileana (@morethancleaning) used to struggle with all the time.

Demonstrating the tiny plastic gadget, Ileana said: ”This little thing is amazing.

”It’s actually meant for sheets but one of my biggest problems was always with duvets doing exactly what yours was doing in your machine.”

And despite solving all your laundry problems, it’s not difficult to use – as the mum demonstrated in her video, all you need to do is place the plastic gadget in the centre before fitting each corner of the duvet with the matching corner of the wad.

”And that’s it. You stick it into the washer, take it out and then stick it into the dryer.

”It doesn’t come into a ball or wad up – no more headaches. You’re welcome.”

Praising the tiny product, she went on in the caption: ”Wad free truly is is amazing and had made washing my sheets so much easier!!!!!”
