[Men's Basketball] Big Second Half Pushes Saints Past Trojans
Deerfield, Ill. The Holy Cross men's basketball team continued their conference play today, when they traveled to Trinity International University to take on the Trojans. It was a back and forth first half with both teams trading leads. TIU would have a late scoring run late in the half and the Saints would trail 28-33 heading into halftime. Coming out of half, the Saints offense erupted, and they shot 62% from the field and 54% from three-point range. Midway through the half, the Saints went on a 21-6 run and took the lead 72-57. The Saints were led by Tommy Snyder, with 25 points, and Phil Robles with 22 points and 6 three pointers. The Saints would dominate the second half and win the game 87-78. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 14-14 overall and 9-11 in conference play, while TIU drops to 15-13 and 9-11.
