The Varanasi police has lodged an FIR against a BHU student from Mauritius on the complaint of a woman professor who accused him of sexual harassment. Allegations are that that the accused was not only sending her obscene messages but also tried to touch her inappropriately on several occasions despite her warnings. Police said investigations were underway. An FIR against Prashant Sharma Chatuah, who is a native of Mauritius and studying in the first semester of MA philosophy, has been lodged.
