I Should Definitely – Manchester City Out On Loan Star Aiming To Improve Key Area

 

Doyle, who is a Manchester City academy product, joined the Blades in the summer and has featured regularly despite missing a few games due to a calf injury.

 

The 21-year-old midfielder has made 23 appearances this season, scoring two goals and providing five assists, but Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom has demanded more goals from him.

 

 

Doyle admitted that he needs to score more often and stated that he wants to score more goals from open play.

 

The Manchester City player revealed that he is working to improve his goalscoring on the training ground with Blades assistant manager Stuart McCall and development coach Jack Lester.

 

 

“The majority of my contributions have been assists”, Doyle said at a press conference.

 

“I should definitely score more.

 

 

“Obviously a lot of my goals come from set-pieces, dead ball situations which I mean I have only one so far.

 

“But yes, from an open play I should contribute a lot more and it is something that I am working on with Jack and assistant manager Stu to obviously improve on that.”

 

Doyle scored against Millwall last weekend in Sheffield United’s 3-2 defeat and will be hoping to continue scoring goals in upcoming games.
