The draft resolution containing the proposals were placed at subject committee meetings on Friday evening attended by Congress steering committee members including party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and former chiefs Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. It will be placed for the plenary's endorsement by Sunday. Some members expressed apprehension on whether additional regional Congress committees would clash with working of AICC and PCCs. Whether this proposal, hence, would get through finally remains to be seen.
