I was on Love Island and we were forced to use ‘stinky portaloos’ and banned from the villa without warning
LOVE Island is one of the most glamorous shows on television – but away from the cameras it can be a different story.
Ex islander Abigail Rawlings has lifted the lid on her time in the villa and revealed she had to use “stinky, horrible portaloos”.
Abi, who was a bombshell in the 2021 series of the show, has revealed the stars would suddenly be turfed out into the garden each day.
The tattoo artist said the property would be “taped off” and she and the others had to use a “stinky” portaloo if they needed the toilet.
Speaking to the Daily Star, 28-year-old Abigail did say the rules may have been stricter in her series due to the Covid pandemic.
Abi said: “They used to deep clean the villa and they would put tape up and we weren’t allowed in the villa while the cleaners were in there.
“And did that every day at midday and if anyone needed a wee, we would have to go around the back in the garden and there was a portaloo.
“It was so hot in there, it was like a sauna. All the boys used it too, it was really stinky and horrible.
“How desperate do you need a wee is the question. You just have to suck it up.”
Abigail was on the summer show in 2021 when she struck up a brief romance with Toby Aromolaran in Casa Amor.
But back in the villa, she was dumped by Toby for Mary Bedford, before Toby changed his mind again and reunited with his ex Chloe Burrows.
Abi later coupled up with Dale Mehmet, but viewers voted them off the island.
Since being on the show, the reality star has returned to her day job, saying: “I still do tattooing as well as influencing, working with brands like like Boux Avenue.
“I’m going to start working with charity organisations. I love animals, I’d love to do anything with dogs.”
Meanwhile, Abi has also revealed that she was told off by Love Island producers for flashing.
