Circula Expands AquaSport Collection
Circula has made quite a splash with its authentic retro-style diver’s watches that combine distinctive looks with high-quality Swiss movements and engineering, the latest example being the new AquaSport GMT. The German watch manufacturer was founded by Heinz Huber in 1955 and realigned in 2018 by his grandson Cornelius Huber, who perhaps channels some vintage inspiration from his grandfather before him.
Now the Pforzheim-based brand expands its popular AquaSport collection with a GMT complication, housed in a 40mm stainless steel case with water resistance to 200 meters. Thanks to the GMT hand and the ball-bearing, bi-directional rotating GMT bezel with a 24-hour scale, it allows for the display of three different time zones.
Inspired by 1970s styles, the AquaSport GMT, which is driven by a self-winding Sellita SW330-1, the versatile newcomer is available in two variants, with a blue or anthracite dial. Readability in the dark is guaranteed by Super-LumiNova C3 X1 and BGW9 on the indexes and hands. The watches are available on a solid stainless-steel bracelet in a beads-of-rice design or a tropical rubber strap, each with a quick release exchange system. Both styles were popular during the 1970s, even furthering the vintage inspiration of these divers.

In addition to the launch of the AquaSport GMT, Circula is also introducing a new variant of the 3-hand AquaSport with a green dial and bezel. This model uses the tried-and-tested Sellita SW200-1 in elaboré quality and is available from $699 (excl. VAT) online.
