President Joe Biden stressed the importance of voting and history during the commemoration of Bloody Sunday in Selma, Alabama. “History matters…and everyone should know the truth about Selma,” said Biden. In 1965, Alabama state troopers attacked voting rights demonstrators on the Edmund Pettus Bridge.
