The Assam government will constitute six teams comprising officials from different departments, including Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), to strictly monitor the movement of contaminated vegetables entering the city. The teams will also conduct tests at all the three major entry points to the city in a bid to prevent flow of such vegetables that pose health risks.
