Kerry Katona says she ‘hates herself’ after 2.5 stone weight gain and wants to ‘hide her body’
KERRY Katona admitted that she “hates herself” and wants to “hide away” after gaining 2.5 stone.
The Atomic Kitten star, 42, gave fans a glimpse inside her recent family holiday to Turkey.
Kerry shared a video of her shopping with her youngest daughter DJ, eight, when she confessed that she wasn’t feeling “body positive”.
The mother and daughter duo were enjoying some retail therapy, when Kerry said: “I’m trying to hide away with my body because I hate myself right now.”
She added: “I know it’s not good as I should have a body positive mental attitude.”
Kerry’s honest admission comes after she opened up on feeling swollen and sore after undergoing surgery on her stomach.
The mother-of-five admitted she has been afraid to show off her tummy on holiday, covering up with clothes.
Kerry admitted she was still feeling “self conscious” after undergoing corrective surgery for a botched tummy tuck.
The star was seen wearing a tummy binder while on holiday in Turkey as she revealed she “wasn’t ready” to show the result.
Kerry told OK! magazine: “I’m feeling much better than I did, but I’m still feeling really swollen and uncomfortable after the operation and I’m not back to myself just yet.”
The singer, who is mum to Molly, 21, and Lilly, 20, with ex Brian McFadden, Heidi, 16, and Max, 14, with Mark Croft, and DJ, eight, with the late George Kay, said the trip was a struggle.
“I still don’t feel ready to show off my body – I’ve been covering up while I’m here in Turkey,” she added.
“I’m still self-conscious and I’m just not 100% confident yet.”
