With back-to-back defeats ruining her unbeaten career, De Bromhead reckons it’d be an emotional one should she come out on top in that contest, with retirement on the horizon.
He said: “There won’t (be a dry eye in the house). I think a lot of people would love to see it happen, it’s great she’s getting the opportunity. But we have to win it first, so that’s still a long way away.

“It’s a tough task, it’s a very competitive Mares’ Hurdle, there’s plenty in it, but we just feel it’s a better option for us now.
“She’s in great form, she loves it there and she’s won the race before. She’s a year older and we will have to see. “
While A Plus Tard is back to defend his Gold Cup crown and is third favourite currently at 15/2 to win the race this year.
Despite a frustrating campaign for A Plus Tard and a lack of real race action, De Bromhead is hopeful after the horse has shown him the right signs.
He said: “The first half of the season has been really frustrating. Haydock just didn’t happen at all, we thought we were all set to go at Christmas and he banged himself, he just wasn’t right and we couldn’t run, so we had to commit to going straight to Cheltenham.
“It’s a tough ask. He’s a very good horse, he was extremely impressive last year and we feel he’s coming all the time for us. Hopefully he will arrive on schedule.”
