Erik ten Hag dishes out brutal punishment to Man Utd stars immediately after 7-0 Liverpool humiliation
ERIK TEN HAG forced his Man United players to sit and listen to Liverpool celebrate their humiliating victory.
The Red Devils were thrashed 7-0 at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday.
After the full-time whistle and with the players downbeat, the Dutch manager made the clubs stars sit in silence and endure the noise coming from the rowdy Liverpool dressing room, according to The Mirror.
The report says that the former Ajax manager told his players to use the Liverpool celebrations to motivate them to never let it happen again.
It comes as Ten Hag also dished out his own hairdryer treatment to the players.
It is believed that it was the “angriest” the manager has “ever been”.
He is also thought to have called the squad into training this morning with an inquest being held into the game.
A United source told The Mirror: “Ten Hag was obviously furious and told them they were lucky to be getting on the team bus back to Old Trafford and not made to travel back with the fans.
“He warned them all that if anything like that happens again, there won’t be another chance for them and they’ll be put in the Under-21s.”
Despite the side being tight at halftime with the score at 1-0 to the hosts, United then collapsed in the second half.
