I can’t think of anything I want less than sex with my boyfriend
DEAR DEIDRE: I CAN’T think of anything I feel less like doing than being intimate with my boyfriend.
His behaviour is slowly chipping away at my love for him. He’s abusive – not physically but verbally, and it’s worse when he’s had a drink.
Last week we went out for my mum’s birthday dinner. She was 70. I’m 39 and my boyfriend is 35.
After drinking a lot of wine, my boyfriend became totally unreasonable when a male colleague of mine came into the pub and gave me a hug.
He started yelling at me and totally humiliated me in front of everyone.
I was scared to go home with him.
He apologised but can’t understand why I no longer want sex.
Should I dump him?

DEIDRE SAYS: There are alarm bells ringing loudly. What about the next time he has a few too many? Will he thump you?
It is no wonder you don’t want sex.
Insist he gets some anger management support and if things don’t change, please move on.
