Leeds United Chat • Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 8th March) Rutter did not want to join Leeds
If they brought Rutter in thinking he was the man to give us an immediate boost then the owners are as thick as Orta and Orta should be immediately sacked.I don’t agree Cjay. I think Radrizzani had made the decision a while ago that this was going to be his last season at Leeds and that he was going to sell up, and make a fortune while we were still a Premier League team. It has been clear for some time now that there has been a possibility of relegation this season and I believe that the recent big money buys, Vober, McKennie and Rutter, were sanctioned in effort to offset that possibility and brought in as 1st team ready.
There is no way that Radrizzani would risk spending £35m (or even £28m + additions) on the slimmish chance that that player would increase in value so much in the very short term so he could be sold at a profit prior to him selling up and he wouldn’t be interested in any long term value increase as he, personally, wouldn’t benefit financially. No, I believe Rutter was brought in to boost the 1st team and try and avoid relegation.
The fact that it doesn’t seem to have worked so far must be giving Radrizzani nightmares.
Still think he is a calculated risk who makes the asset sheet look good.
Hope for short term gain but aim for long term profit
It's the Radz way.
