[Softball] Saint Xavier Earns Split with No. 11 Georgia Gwinnett

Lawrenceville, Ga. – Saint Xavier University softball (12-8/0-0 CCAC) played No. 11 Georgia Gwinnett College in a doubleheader Thursday afternoon in Lawrenceville, Ga., losing game one 5-1 and taking game two, 10-8, after the Grizzlies committed eight errors. Junior infielder Alexus Reese (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) led the Cougar offense, going 4-for-5 on the day with three walks, two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored. SXU improves to 5-2 in the all-time series with GGC, and today was the first regular season matchup after meeting in the postseason in 2016 & 2022.
