Phillies RHP Andrew Painter (elbow) to rest 4 weeks
Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Andrew Painter will rest for four weeks after an MRI revealed an elbow sprain.
The team confirmed Friday that the 19-year-old prospect has a right proximal ulnar collateral ligament sprain.
A second opinion from Dr. Neal ElAttrache confirmed the UCL sprain.
After four weeks, the plan is for Painter to begin a light tossing progression.
