While this is an off year for federal elections and there are no special Senate runoffs in Georgia to participate in virtually, I got fired up when I read that former Republican state Sen. Elizabeth Helgelian announced she would run to replace U.S. Rep. Susie Lee, D-Nev., in 2024.
