DEAR DEIDRE: MY wife’s former tutor called, asking her to lend him some money because he was ill and in hospital.
I innocently agreed so she wired him £250 to where he now lives in South Africa.
We told him we didn’t want him to pay us back.
I am 41 and my wife is 36. We have been married for 12 years and have two children.
My wife’s tutor is now a retired 70-year-old.
