The brokerage firm Kotak Institutional Equities on the tenure of Kathpalia said, "the RBI has given shorter-than-requested tenors to other banks in the past, and we have not been able to identify any specific reasons to explain this decision from the regulator. A tenor lower than requested is always a point of debate with investors, and it would continue to be so with IIB in the next two years as well."
