With a spurt in cases of viral fever associated with cold, cough and soar throat, suspected to be triggered by H3N2 subtype of the influenza A virus, the state health department on Saturday alerted deputy commissioners and health officials of all 24 districts to take appropriate action for surveillance and management of serious cases of seasonal influenza.
