Inside Inclusion Workshops: Creating an inclusive judo culture
Judo was designed to develop us as individuals to contribute to our community, and British Judo strives to support our individuals and community to create environments for participants to belong.
An inclusive sport promotes and sustains a sense of belonging; it values and practices respect for the talents, beliefs, backgrounds and way of living for its participants, organisers, spectators and leadership.
This month, we are delighted to offer three workshops open and free to Volunteers, Officials and Referees which will focus on how we collectively create an inclusive culture across judo.
March Workshops
21st March 3-5pm
23rd March 6pm-8pm
25th March 10am- 12pm
The workshop will focus on several key areas:
- What we mean by D&I and why it matters to British Judo
- Discrimination and what the law says
- Navigating the language line
- Addressing behaviour and language (scenarios to explore acknowledging and dealing with unacceptable behaviour)
- What are the next steps
Those who are interested in attending one of these workshops are encouraged to register their interest using the form below.
