The frontline equity indices tumbled on Monday, extending losses for the third straight session. Mixed global cues and continous FII selling dented investors sentiment. After opening higher at 17,529.90, the Nifty 50 index declined as the session progressed and settled below the 17,200 level. All the sectoral indices on the NSE ended in the red. Financials and autos witnessed major selling.
