THIS is the shocking moment a woman smashes wine bottles with a frying pan in Tesco.
Toni Green, 50, from Wigston, was filmed smashing bottles of alcohol in the superstore.
Pools of red wine formed and shattered glass littered the floor of the store on Blaby Road in South Wigston, Leicester.
In a clip uploaded to TikTok on Friday, which soon gathered 706,000 likes, the woman uses a frying pan to knock bottles from the shelves.
Shopper Adam Sansome, who filmed the altercation, hid behind boxes of crisps as he looked on.
The woman was wearing an ankle-length black dress underneath a black hoodie.
She was surrounded by Tesco workers who could only stand by helplessly during the altercation on Wednesday.
She launched the frying pan into the shelves, smashing bottles and sending wine falling to the floor.
Leicestershire Police confirmed Ms Green was charged with criminal damage following the incident last Wednesday.
A spokesman said: “The charge relates to damage caused to stock inside the premises. Toni Green, of Wigston, appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court last Thursday (9 March).”
The court confirmed Ms Green was handed a community order, meaning she will have to perform community service or undergo treatment rather than go to prison.
Tesco declined to comment when approached by The Sun.
