A MUM has been inundated with praise after revealing how she makes her nine-year-old son clean the family toilet and bathroom.
Odinaka shared footage of her young son hard at work cleaning and scrubbing everything from the sink and toilet in her home.
Alongside the clip, which was shared to TikTok (@athomewithdidi), she asked: “Do you make your children take turns to do a particular chore or do you assign a particular chore to them constantly?”
Odinaka then proceeded to explain why she personally makes them and notes how she believes they should try their hands at every age-appropriate chore.
She continues: “Andrea only started cleaning the bathroom late last year and he is almost becoming a pro at it.”
“The cleaner comes in every 3 weeks to give their toilet a proper deep clean and they have to maintain it till she comes again.
“I am happy with this arrangement because it gives them that sense of responsibility to be conscious of the mess they create in their space.”
Odinaka concludes by saying she hopes the video “inspires someone.”
