The NFL offseason officially began when the Kansas City Chiefs polished off their Super Bowl 57 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. But the exciting part of the offseason doesn’t get underway until March 13.
That’s when teams and free agents are allowed to officially begin negotiations on new contracts. A flurry of deals will occupy the three days between the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament’s selection Sunday and the start of March Madness, sending social media and sports radio into a frenzy discussing contracts whose net value will climb over a billion dollars.
