MBE Worldwide further strengthens its presence in the UK market
MBE Worldwide S.p.A. has acquired 100% of the share capital of PACK & SEND UK Ltd (“PACK & SEND UK”) from the former PACK & SEND UK Master Licensee, via the MBE affiliate World Options Holdings Limited.
MBE is a leading commerce-enablement platform providing e-commerce, fulfilment, shipping, marketing and print solutions to SMBs and consumers. In 2022, MBE served over 1 million business customers worldwide generating €1.3 bln (US$1.4 bln) of System-wide Gross Revenue, through its 3,150+ Business Solution Centers in 52 countries, and €22 bln (US$23 bln) of Gross Merchandise Value traded through its PrestaShop e-commerce solutions.
PACK & SEND SYSTEMS (“PACK & SEND”), the franchisor of the PACK & SEND system that was acquired by MBE Worldwide in 2021, was founded in Sydney, Australia in 1993. Since that time it has operated in the shipping and logistics industries through a network of franchisees and master licensees. PACK & SEND UK has been trading in the UK since 2009 as a master licensee of PACK & SEND, supporting a network of franchisees currently comprising 20 Business Solution Centres.
With this acquisition, MBE reinforces its direct presence in the UK market where it now operates under three brands: Mail Boxes Etc., PACK & SEND and World Options. PACK & SEND UK will continue to operate as an independent company within the UK. All MBE group companies operating in the UK will retain their respective business concepts and brands.
