The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #62 Brent Neiman, of Illinois, to be a Deputy Under Secretary of the Treasury, post-cloture.

 

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Neiman nomination and on cloture on the Garcetti nomination (Ambassador to India).

 

Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.

 

If cloture is invoked, at approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Garcetti nomination and on cloture on the Chaudhary nomination (Air Force).

 

If cloture is invoked, at approximately 5:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Chaudhary nomination and on cloture on the Taylor-Kale nomination (Defense).

 

Cloture has been filed on the following:

1.      Executive Calendar #65 Eric M. Garcetti, of California, to be Ambassador to the Republic of India

2.      Executive Calendar #2 Ravi Chaudhary, of Virginia, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Air Force

3.      Executive Calendar #18 Laura Taylor-Kale, of California, to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense

4.      Executive Calendar #27 Jessica G. L. Clarke, of New York, to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York.

5.      Motion to proceed to Calendar #25 S.316, to repeal the authorizations for use of military force against Iraq

 

Wednesday, March 15^th at approx. 11:30am – 2 roll call votes:
