FIFA Club World Cup every year… without the Europeans who get a bye to the final
March 17 – While focus has been shifted to the 2025 Club World Cup and how teams will qualify, or have qualified, FIFA have also said they will run a global club competition every year.
In a press release following outlining FIFA Council decisions earlier this week, FIFA said that the “Club World Cup will be discontinued after the 2023 edition”, but that a new annual competition will be created for “the champions of their (the confederations’) premier club competitions to play each other annually to stimulate competitiveness”.
