Emmerdale fans horrified as Cathy Hope nearly kills herself in out of control display
EMMERDALE fans are horrified as Cathy Hope nearly killed herself after spiralling out of control.
The teenager has been struggling in recent months with mood swings, heavy periods and uncontrollable behaviour.
Tonight she stole a bottle of whiskey, planned an entire day for her friends before the gig and behaved wildly in Emmerdale.
But as she spiralled out of control, Cathy jumped up onto the bridge that Leanna recently murdered on.
She began spinning around out of control and was only stopped from falling to her death by Bob who grabbed her in time.
Manpreet realised something was seriously wrong and told him to take her to see the mental health crisis team at A&E.
After assessing Cathy the crisis doctor told Bob, Brenda and Wendy: “Tests are all normal and her bloods aren’t showing any trace of drugs or alcohol.
“From what we discussed she could be suffering from some form of depression.
“I’ve referred Cathy to our adolescent mental health service. They’ll be able to help more but there will be a wait. I’m afraid it might be months.”
Brenda, Bob and Wendy were horrified at the waiting time with Cathy so clearly mentally unwell.
And Cathy herself was devastated.
“They’re saying I’m mentally ill,” she cried to Brenda.
“You all think I’m crazy, don’t you? Bunking off school, going on a date with a gay lad. I keep freaking out and being horrible to everyone.
“And I don’t even know why I’m doing it. I’ve already seen Manpreet. She put me on the pill and it made everything worse.
“You all hate me now, don’t you? I may as well run away. What if I flip out again like I did today?
“I could have died and I didn’t even care. I hate being like this, I just want it all to stop.”
Fans are horrified for her.
One wrote: “Obsessed with Cathy almost falling to her cruel death on Meena’s bridge of doom! The Jutla curse will haunt for eternity.”
A second said: “Cathy was lucky then things could’ve been so much worse if Bob wasn’t there to save her.”
Another added: “Cathy almost ended up like Leanna.”
