Report explains why Levy might be hesitant to hire Luis Enrique for Spurs
The Daily Mirror have revealed that Daniel Levy would like Tottenham’s next head coach to have experience in the Premier League.
Multiple outlets have revealed over the last couple of weeks that Fabio Paratici has already started drawing up a list of potential replacements for Antonio Conte (Daily Mail).
The Athletic reported last week that the likes of Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, Roberto De Zerbi, Thomas Frank, Steve Cooper, Oliver Glasner and Marco Silva are in consideration but Enrique is likely to be at the top of the Tottenham managing director’s wishlist.
The Times subsequently suggested a couple of days ago that the former Barcelona manager would also fit the profile that Levy wants since he has a reputation for playing attacking football and promoting youth.
However, The Mirror have now said that while Paratici is compiling the list of Conte’s potential replacements, it is Levy who will ultimately make the decision on who takes over at N17.
The publication adds that while Enrique might be Paratici’s choice, the Tottenham chairman wants someone who is proven in the Premier League, which would count against the Spaniard.

It would be a massive risk to appoint someone without Premier League experience as even Pep Guardiola had a steep learning curve in English football when he initially arrived.
So, I am convinced that Tottenham will pull out all the stops to snap up Roberto De Zerbi or Thomas Frank if they decide against going for Pochettino or Tuchel.
