Martin Rey’s apology. Court settlement ends the trial
We gladly accept Marcin Rey’s (“Russian V Column in Poland“) apology which ends several years of the litigation between us. The libel dispute resulted from the 2017 publication, which was widely used by the Polish state broadcaster TVP and other government mouthpieces as well as the Polish (under full control of the ruling rule-of-law-rogue party) security services and and diplomacy as “proof” of our ties to Russia.
Marcin Rey’s report entitled “The activities and connections of the Open Dialog Foundation” was met with a firm, exhaustive and refutation of every thesis detrimental to the good name of Lyudmyla Kozlovska, Bartosz Kramek and the Foundation response. At the same time, the ODF leadership announced that it would take legal action.
We thank our former opponent for the thorough implementation of the court settlement and the accompanying gentleman’s agreement. We believe that the fight against Russian influence remains our common goal.
This is yet another successful court case. We have filed a series of lawsuits for the protection of our personal rights in the face of unprecedented, ridicolus slanders against us since 2017 when we stood up for the rule of law in Poland against the PiS government.
