Woman reveals sneaky ways B boob cup sizes can sneak into D cups and people’s minds are blown
A LINGERIE seller has revealed the sneaky way a small boob cup size can actually fit into a larger bra.
Founder of Salour Lingerie, Holly Kilgour, took to the brand’s TikTok account to share the trick with viewers.
“There is a bra secret that every woman needs to know,” she started her clip. “And that is sister sizes.”
Holly [@salourlingeries] said that the concept is usually explained in a complicated way, which makes it difficult for people to truly understand how it works.
“But today I’m going to explain it in really simple terms because it can really help you find the perfect fitting bra,” she continued.
“Now the chances are, for example, if you’re a B cup there’s no way you could ever fit into a D cup. Wrong. Stay with us.
“So the size of the bra’s cup actually varies with the band size. So the size of a D cup isn’t the same across 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 band sizes.
“The cup actually changes size as the band size increases along with it.”
Sharing an alternative way to think about this concept, she described how you might have a friend who you share the same cup size with…
“You might think ‘That’s really weird, we’re both really different sizes. Our bust sizes are so different, how could we be the same cup size?’
“This, my friend, is because the size of the cup changes sizes with the band, so a 10D cup is very different to a 16D.”
Holly went on: “Often what I see people doing wrong, for example, if you’re a 10D, they’ll go and reach for a 12D bra.
“But what’s going to happen is you’re going to end up with not only a bigger band but also a bigger D cup. So what you would need to do is go up a bit band size but down a cup size.
“So instead of going from a 10D to a 12D, you would go from a 10D to a 12C.”
Concluding her statement, she added: “So yes, an A cup can actually be the same size as a B cup. Wild, right?”
In the caption, she wrote: “Bra sister sizes! Hands up who didn’t know this,” with a palm emoji.
People were quick to admit that they had no idea about bra sister sizes as one person wrote: “I’m 49 and learned something new today – which makes total sense!”
