Gahlot presented his first and the Aam Aadmi Party's ninth Budget on Wednesday. In his speech, which spanned 2 hours 27 minutes and just a bit short of finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman's 2020-21 Budget presentation of 2 hours 42 minutes, Gahlot said, "Whenever we Indians travel abroad we admire the wide roads and cleanliness of other cities. This is what we will do in Delhi." The government has earmarked '21,000 crore (almost 27% of the total Budget outlay) for its nine-point infrastructure push.
