Stacey Solomon reveals major makeover at Pickle Cottage – and the kids are going to love it
STACEY Solomon has revealed a huge makeover at her home Pickle Cottage – and it’s safe to say the kids will be fans.
The 33-year-old mum-of-five is no stranger to a bit of DIY at her gorgeous home, and today saw her embark on a big project.
Taking to social media, Stacey revealed she’s going to swap her son Rex’s bedroom with another bedroom, so her daughters can share a room together.
The TV star finished decorating Rex’s amazing bedroom not too long ago, but in a bid to change the rooms around she’s going to be completely redecorating.
Stacey showed off her plans as she ripped down a flower wall in one room and filmed herself in the process.
Calling it ‘project room swap’ the star further revealed her plans as she panned down Rex’s childhood dream room.
She said: “It makes more sense for the girls to share & Rex to have his own room! Also Rex has outgrown pandas so I’m glad I did it all on a budget.
“Now I can swap them over and bring the bits I love from each room over and change Rex’s theme.”
Stacey shares baby Belle, one-year-old Rose and Rex, three, with Joe Swash, who she tied the knot with last year.
She is also mum to Leighton, 10, and Zachary, 14, who are from previous relationships, while Joe is also dad to Harry, 15.
As a family, they live in a stunning home which Stacey has fondly named Pickle Cottage, and it has seen its fair share of renovations by the hand of the star.
The star’s interior update comes after the star opened up on being judged for becoming a teen mum.
Stacey remembered the first time she became a mum, the judgment she felt, and the comfortable life she has now while sharing a beautiful photo with her brood.
“I’ve been a mum since I was 17 years old,” Stacey wrote.
“I [barely] remember life before becoming mum. I do remember all of the looks I’d get & all of the things that people would say when they saw a ‘child raising a child’.
“I can’t believe I am now a mummy of 5. And all I can say is, not one of those judgments or opinions back then were true.”
“No matter how real they felt I look at each of them now and I have never felt so proud,” she continued. “They are the kindest most amazing people and I was a part of that.”
