‘Wonderful’ mum-of-two dies almost a month after she was seriously injured in car crash as devastated pals pay tribute
DEVASTATED pals have paid tribute to a “wonderful” mum-of-two who died almost a month after she was seriously injured in a car crash.
Agnieszka Zblewski, 38, was airlifted to hospital after her car smashed into a Ford transit van in Devon on February 13.
The mum-of-two was in a serious condition, while the driver of the van suffered minor injures.
Tragically Agnieszka’s health deteriorated in the weeks that followed and she died on March 9.
She is being remembered as a “wonderful” mum to her children – and “beautiful” wife to husband Krystian.
A pal has made a GoFundMe for the family, and paid tribute to the 38-year-old.
She wrote: “Aga is very close to my heart and a superwoman.
“She brightened up every day with her smile and joy.
“Life will never be the same.”
Agnieszka was originally from Poland, and she and Krystian were said to have been living in the UK for 15 years.
The pair had been together for more than two decades, and were raising their children, 11 and 13, in Okehampton.
An inquest into Agnieszka’s death was opened last week at the Plymouth Coroner’s court.
Senior coroner Ian Arrow confirmed that the mum had been the driver of one of the cars involved in the crash on the B3215, near Beacon Cross at Belstone Corner, last month.
DevonLive reported he said: “She was taken to Derriford Hospital with extensive injuries but over a period of time her health sadly deteriorated and she passed at Derriford on 9th March 2023.”
Mr Arrow said there were no suspicious circumstances around the crash, and that Agnieszka’s medical cause of death was given as “traumatic intracerebral haemorrhage”.
The hearing was adjourned and a full inquest will take place later this year.
