LAURA Hamilton has confirmed the future of A Place in the Sun after it disappeared from TV schedules.

The beloved Channel 4 programme has been on air for the past 23 years and has built up a loyal audience.

The show has been off air for the past number of weeks[/caption]

It sees Brits looking to buy a holiday home in sunnier climates or completely relocate from the UK.

But the show hasn’t been found in the schedules for the last number of weeks – leaving fans fuming.

The broadcaster was forced to release a statement addressing the situation.

They said: “The most recent series of A Place In The Sun has finished but viewers can enjoy a brilliant new show, Tool Club.

“A Place In The Sun will return to screens in April or can be enjoyed on 4seven every day before then.”

And now one of the show’s presenters, Laura Hamilton, has confirmed just when exactly A Place in the Sun will be back.

Taking to social media, the 40-year-old said: “Lots of people have been asking me when @aplaceinthesunofficial will be back on screen…

“It’s coming… we are filming lots more episodes AND something new and exciting is coming too…”

She then revealed new episodes will begin from May 1st.

In the meantime A Place in the Sun has been replaced by The Tool Club.

The show is hosted by Kevin Duala, who leads a team of three as they take on DIY projects that have gone wrong.

The programme corrects both major and small scale mistakes, while also providing viewers with helpful hints and hacks.

The first episode of Tool Club aired back in 2021, however the first series has only just started airing on Channel 4.
