Belgium boot Bossaert over bonus brawl
March 23 – The Belgian FA (KBVB) have dismissed their CEO Peter Bossaert (pictured right) following a conflict over his bonus structure, which had been modified without the approval of the federation’s board.
On Wednesday, the KBVB held an extraordinary board meeting to address Bossaert’s bonus structure. Chairman Paul Van den Bulck was dismayed when he learnt that Bossaert’s new contract almost guaranteed him a bonus of €100,000 on top of a salary of €500,000.
