Father of Parkland School Shooting Victim Arrested After Disrupting Congressional Hearing (Video)
Manuel Oliver, father of 17-year-old Joaquin Oliver, a student killed in the February 14, 2018 Parkland High School massacre, was thrown out of a Congressional committee hearing on ATF overreach Thursday and then arrested by Capitol Police after an apparent struggle in the hallway. Oliver had stood up in the hearing room and yelled, “You’re full of s***!”, after his wife Patricia had been ordered out for disrupting the hearing. Oliver kept yelling variations of “full of s***!” as he was escorted out of the hearing room by police.

Oliver had earlier tweeted his hostility against Republican committee members from the hearing, “Im inside a hearing in DC. It’s incredible how republicans decided to atact @ATFHQ over America’s gun violence epidemic. It is so obvious their role as Gun Industry’s little bit@hes!”

Last year Oliver was thrown out of an event at the Biden White House for being disruptive and heckling Biden.
Videos taken by ABC News reporter Will Steakin, Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) activist Ryan Deitsch and Punchbowl News reporter Mica Soellner show police struggling to control Oliver while his wife, who was also thrown out of the hearing, harangued officers to the point she was shoved away. Frost and other activists harassed the officers as they made the arrest of Oliver.

Fallon & Biggs Announce Joint Hearing Examining ATF Overreach
WASHINGTON — The Oversight Committee’s Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Energy Policy, and Regulatory Affairs Chairman Pat Fallon (R-Texas) and the Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance Chairman Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) will hold a joint hearing examining the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives’ (ATF) actions aimed at curtailing the ability of lawful gun owners to exercise their Second Amendment rights.On January 31, 2023, the ATF issued a final rule to redefine a firearm with an attached stabilizing brace as a short-barreled rifle, contradicting an ATF determination made over a decade ago during the Obama Administration. The hearing will examine the impact of the final rule and the potential harm it will have on millions of law-abiding gun owners. This rulemaking comes in addition to other actions taken by ATF to chill the exercise of Second Amendment rights.
“The Biden Administration is weaponizing the ATF to advance a left-wing gun control agenda without regard for fundamental fairness or constitutional rights,” said Subcommittee Chairmen Fallon and Biggs. “The ATF has engaged in a host of practices that seek to curtail the ability of lawful gun owners to exercise their Second Amendment rights. Because of the ATF’s final rule, millions of lawful gun owners will be required to obtain a special registration, surrender, or destroy their stabilizing brace by the compliance date or will face severe criminal penalties merely as a result of this regulatory change.
