Bridgerton actor splits from West End actress girlfriend
BRIDGERTON’s Luke Newton has split from his girlfriend, West End actress Jade Davies.
The actor, who played Colin Bridgerton in the sexy Netflix period drama, has signed up to the celebrity dating app Raya in a bid to get over his partner of three years.
A source said: “Luke and Jade drifted apart as they could not find time in their busy schedules to invest in their relationship.
Luke and Jade, whose sister is Love Island’s Amber Davies, were understood to have spent last Christmas apart and he has since removed all snaps of her from his Instagram.
Season three of Bridgerton is already filming and will see Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) take the lead.
Season three’s new showrunner, Jess Brownwell previously said: “I really feel like it’s Colin and Penelope’s time.
“Because we’ve been watching both of these actors on our screens since season 1, we’ve already invested in them a little bit.
“We know who they are as people… there are these moments of tension between them where it’s like, Colin walks up to the line of almost realising that Penelope has feelings for him but doesn’t quite get there.
“Instead of treading water on that dynamic, we wanted to push it into their season. It really felt like the perfect moment to tee it up.”
