SOBBING Sarah Hunter got a perfect send-off with a ten-try triumph.
England’s No 8 got a standing ovation from the 10,053 Kingston Park crowd as she was subbed after an hour of her 141st and final international.
Marlie Packer’s hat-trick headlined the Red Roses’ win in Hunter’s home city of Newcastle.
Hunter, 37, who confirmed her retirement earlier this week, said: “I’m overwhelmed.
“To put in the performance we did is so special, I couldn’t think of a better way to end my career. When I came off, I just wanted to bottle that moment. The crowd was insane.”
Claudia MacDonald and Amy Cokayne scored twice against the Scots, with Tatyana Heard, Poppy Cleall and Sadia Kabeya also crossing.
Hat-trick hero Packer added: “Sarah is an amazing rugby player and an amazing human.
“The legacy she has left behind is incredible — and we just want to continue that.”
