‘Wrong’ – Journalist suggests Conte may not get it all his own way if he leaves Spurs
Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin has claimed that Serie A clubs will not be queuing up to hire Antonio Conte if he is let go by Tottenham.
Although Spurs are yet to officially confirm Conte’s departure, the writing appears to be on the wall for the 53-year-old.
The Evening Standard reported on Friday that senior members of the Tottenham squad do not expect him to be in charge for the clash against Everton on April 3.
Meanwhile, some publications in Italy have already started discussing where the Tottenham head coach will go next.
Corriere dello Sport claimed earlier this week that Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan and AS Roma could all queue up for Conte’s signature in the summer.
The publication claimed that the Italian would welcome the chance to return to the Allianz Stadium dug out and it was explained that he could be an option with the futures of Stefano Pioli and Simone Inzaghi far from secure at the moment.
In addition, the report added that Roma could make a move for the Spurs boss if Jose Mourinho refuses to commit his future to the club.
However, Biasin believes that the interest in Conte has been overplayed by the media, pointing out that his demanding nature might put off some clubs.
The journalist told Calciomercato.it: “I think the assumption is wrong.
“Right now, everyone is saying that many teams would like Conte and he is out.
“That he’s leaving is a guarantee, but I think it’s more him looking for accommodation rather than there being a queue.
“Taking Conte involves many things, including doing the transfer window as he asks, having the players in the squad that he wants and taking someone who can also criticise the club in front of the cameras.”

None of the big Italian clubs are in a position to spend big to rebuild their squads anytime soon, which is something Conte has demanded at every single club he has been at in his career.
So, the four aforementioned clubs will not be in a hurry to appoint the 53-year-old.
