Three students and gunman dead in Nashville Christian school shooting
Three young students and a gunman are dead after a shooting at a private Christian school in Nashville.
The three students and the shooter are dead in the massacre, according to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A gunman opened fire at The Covenant School at 33 Burton Hills Blvd on Monday morning.
‘An active shooter event has taken place at Covenant School, Covenant Presbyterian Church, on Burton Hills Dr.,’ the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department tweeted at noon.
‘The shooter was engaged by MNPD and is dead.’
The Nashville Fire Department tweeted at 11.39am that they were ‘responding to an active aggressor’ at the school.
‘We can confirm we have multiple patients,’ stated the fire department.
Students and being reunited with their parents at Woodmont Baptist Church at 2100 Woodmont Blvd.
The Covenant School serves preschool through 6th grade, according to its website.
