BJP's Bengal unit president, Suvendhu Adhikari, has accused the AITC of corruption and dubbed it a "private limited company". Adhikari challenged the two-day dharna called by the state chief minister and alleged that "the state, in the last 10 years, has taken thousands of crores of rupees from the Central government with regard to the matter of fake job cards under MGNREGA".
