[Softball] Dallimore earns another KCAC Softball Player of the Week honor
WICHITA, Kan. – For the second this time season, the Friends University Falcon power-hitting catcher Carolyn Dallimore has been voted as the KCAC Softball Player of the Week, the league office announced today (Mar. 27). The weekly conference award is the third overall for Dallimore during her career at Friends.
"Carolyn is having an explosive senior season, we are so proud of her!" said Friends softball head coach Suzanne Unruh. "She has more to come for her this spring."
Already having a spectacular campaign, Dallimore took it to another level this past week, slugging four home runs and hitting .556 in six games for the Falcons.
Dallimore was on-base at a .625 clip and slugged 1.333 and is now tied for first in the KCAC in batting average (.500) this season while ranking tied for first in the NAIA in home runs (10). She is now seven home runs away from the program single-season record of 17, set in 2011 by Cheyenne Stewart.
The 10 homers already represent a career-high for Dallimore and the Patterson, Calif. native is also tied for first in the nation in slugging percentage (1.059) and tops in the KCAC in on base-percentage (.598) and third in RBIs (34).
Dallimore and the Falcons have marks of 16-8 overall and 4-2 in the KCAC this season and are next set to host Sterling College on Apr. 3.
