THIS popular fitness influencer has revealed a sports bra hack that may be a game-changer for gym girls everywhere.
According to her, the minor adjustment offers considerable support for your chest.
Whitney Simmons (@whitneyysimmons), a women’s health and wellness guru, explained the solution to her 1.4 million TikTok followers in a recent video.
Whitney noted at the beginning of the clip that she loves wearing her “[boob] bra” to the gym as it completes a stylish outfit.
However, problems sometimes arise as it feels the bra may give way during a workout.
“Here’s the thing — sometimes I’m lifting in this, and I’m like, ‘whoa, I might lose a [boob],'” the influencer explained.
“A [boob]’s gonna pop, and not pop cause there’s anything in here…but pop out.”
To solve the issue, Whitney showed the step-by-step adustment she makes to some of her Gymshark sports bras.
First, she unhooked two detachable straps on the back of the bra, leaving one left connecting over the middle.
Whitney noted that “for some, this might be enough” with the one strap.
Although for her, it doesn’t solve the secure feeling that she’s lacking from the bra, even with the positive of it showing off her back muscles.
To get that security, she used scissors to cut the remaining strap in the middle and then tied the two pieces around her neck.
This extra tension from being able to pull the straps tighter around Whitney’s neck and then tying it would seem to offer a more secure feel.
Although, Whitney warned not to tie the knot too tight, as it could cause neck aches.
“I double knot it, nice and secure,” the influencer said.
“See that, that’s not going anywhere.”
Whitney continued that her back still remains “on display” while the tighter bra offers more support.
The method has been so effective that Whitney said she’s been doing the same thing with all her “minimal bras.”

Not to mention, Whitney isn’t the only fitness influencer who has creative and effective hacks for bras.

Tracy Summers (@iamtracysummers) showed viewers in a video on TikTok that she puts tissues in her bras instead of opting for bras with extra padding.
Although it may not be a longer step-by-step process like Whitney’s, it seemed to work for Tracy.
Some influencers have even more innovative hacks.
TikToker Cassie (@cassiefajilan) claimed she stopped wearing bras in high school.
To get support, she instead used the padding from swimsuits to fit in her tops.
