I won £40k on a scratch card – I spent the money all at once but I have no regrets
A WOMAN has revealed how she won £40,000 on a scratch card – and spent it all at once.
Sydney, who is based in the US, said despite the fact she now lives paycheque to paycheque, she has no regents.
That’s because she managed to get on the property ladder and buy her first home.
The student, who won the money about a year ago, took to her TikTok account @sydneykidneybean to share her lottery win story.
Sydney explained that she won $50,000 USD – or a little over £40,000 – off a $5 scratch ticket.
But, she always knew she wanted to buy a house, so put the money into that.
In a clip posted to the account Sydneykidneybean, she explained: “That money is already gone.
“It’s been a year I used it to put a downpayment on a house and after all the fees and a few repairs, it’s been gone – I’m back to living paycheque to paycheque.
“But it’s fine because I have a house now.”
Sydney continued: “I really wanted a house at that time.
“That investment was really important to me and I’m proud of it.”
It’s not unusual for people to publically share their lotto wins.
