Former Prime Minister Liz Truss has been tipped for a role in the long running ITV endurance show.

The star lasted only 49 days in Number 10 Downing Street, but according to betting site OLBG, she could be set to fly over to Australia.

The Conservative MP is currently sitting at odds of 25/1 to be the part of the next batch of celebs to enter the jungle.

The betting community has said after the ‘fairly positive’ performance of Matt Hancock, she may be thinking of taking a similar path.

PR expert Mark Borkowski previously estimated that Matt Hancock could have been paid a whopping £350,000 fee for his jungle stint.

Former Apprentice star Thomas Skinner is the current favourite to appear in the next series, sitting at 3/1.

The personality has become a social media sensation since his stint on the business competition.

Other stars who are speculated include former England footballer Peter Crouch and former Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing.

The pair are both high up on the bookies list of potential campmates, with their odds sitting at 5/1.

Jamie’s co-star and Love Island: The Morning After podcast host Sam Thompson sits at 6/1 whilst comic and presenter Joe Lycett is at 7/1 to enter camp.

However, the full lineup of the last series was officially revealed in October, so fans have a few months to wait for the commercial broadcaster to confirm to next batch of campmates.

The series will return in April for a special All Stars edition of the show called I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.

Huge names such as Paul Burrell, Helen Flanagan, Janice Dickinson and Carol Vorderman, will take part in trials described by a spokesman at ITV as “tougher” than ever.

Phil Tufnell, Jordan Banjo, Shaun Ryder, Amir Khan and Olympian Fatima Whitbread have also been confirmed to be re-entering camp.
