Idaho murder suspect’s sisters ‘lost their jobs as school counselor and actress’

The sisters of Idaho murder suspect Bryan Kohberger have reportedly been let go from their jobs in the wake of their brother allegedly killing four students.

Kohberger’s sisters, Amanda and Melissa, lost their jobs because of their relationship to him despite family members refusing to visit him in jail, a source told NewsNation earlier this week.

The report comes several months after Kohberger, 28, allegedly stalked and murdered four University of Idaho students in their home off campus in November.

Kohberger’s older sister Melissa worked as a school counselor, while his other sister Amanda was doing work as an actress, the news outlet reported.

His family in January, days after he was arrested and charged with four counts of murder, stated: ‘We will love and support our son and brother.’

Kohberger was a PhD student at Washington State University and is being held without bail in a prison in Idaho. Kohberger, who also faces a felony burglary charge, has his next court date set for June and awaits to see if prosecutors will seek the death penalty.

The daughter of BTK Killer Dennis Lynn Rader, Kerri Rawson, told NewsNation that her family also took a break from working after her father was arrested for killing 10 people in Park City and Wichita.

‘Kohberger’s family, as far we know at this point, are crime victims too,’ said Rawson.

Rawson added that her family did not visit her father behind bars for emotional reasons and opined that Kohberger’s family may not be visiting him for reasons related to finances.

Kohberger’s attorney in December said his client was ‘eager to be exonerated’.
