Angers president Said Chabane quits over sexual abuse allegations
March 30 – Said Chabane (pictured), president of French Ligue1 side Angers, has resigned following accusations of sexual assault.
He has offered his position to his son Romain Chabane. In a statement, the club wrote that “on March 21, 2023, during a board meeting, president Saïd Chabane tendered his resignation.”
“On March 25, 2023, following deliberation by another board of directors, under the authority of chairman Romain Chabane, Teddy Kefalas was appointed deputy chairman.
