BBC Breakfast’s Nina Warhurst brushes off vicious trolling with cheeky post about her hair
NINA Warhurst has brushed off her vicious trolling with a cheeky post about her hair.
The BBC Breakfast presenter, 42, fronted the flagship show this week from Monday to Wednesday.
She joined Jon Kay on the sofa as regular host Sally Nugent was nowhere to be found.
However, she was cruelly trolled by one viewer who said her hair had put them off their breakfast.
The rant, tapped out on an iPad, read: “Please do something with your hair. You look a mess!
“We have to look at your while we are eating our breakfasts, for heaven’s sake!”
The soon-to-be mum of three hid the name but revealed the message’s author was female.
She wrote: “Women who do this to women,” followed by a sad face. “Too repulsed by my hair to eat her breakfast, but managing to bang out this vitriol.”
The star was backed by many of her celebrity fans, including Rylan Clark who wrote simply: “F**K THEM . U look lovely x.”
And now Nina has joked off the horrible message in an Instagram story.
She shared a screenshot of media coverage of her initial tweet about the troll which was posted by her makeup artist.
“Thanks to @grainnefrawley for helping me put a viewer off their breakfast with my hair,” she said.
Nina has been on BBC Breakfast since 2018 and took over from Steph McGovern as the show’s main business reporter in 2020.
